About Addie K. Beplate

Addie K. Beplate is a relentless and principled criminal defense attorney with a deep passion for juvenile justice and a fierce dedication to defending the rights of the accused. Drawing from her experience as a former Kootenai County Deputy Public Defender, Addie brings a tireless work ethic, strong trial advocacy skills, and a client-centered approach to every case she handles. During her time as a public defender, she also gained invaluable experience in involuntary commitment proceedings and child protection cases, which further expanded her breadth of legal knowledge.


With deep family roots in North Idaho, Addie is proud to serve the community she now calls home. Raised between the dynamic cities of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Salt Lake City, Utah, she developed a broad, multi-faceted perspective on life, people, and the complexities of the legal system— perspectives that not only shape her practice but also influence her daily life and fuel her unwavering commitment to her work.

Addie earned her undergraduate degree from Eastern Oregon University, where she was a committed member of the women’s soccer team and had the distinct honor of being elected to serve as student body president. Her experience in this leadership role not only strengthened her commitment to community service but also deepened her drive to advocate for others and make a meaningful impact. During her time at EOU, Addie also interned with the Office of General Counsel, where she gained extensive experience in institutional legal operations and built a robust foundation in legal analysis and research.


Addie went on to graduate from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2022, where she first got her feet wet in criminal defense through the Criminal Defense Clinic. There, she gained practical hands-on experience defending clients and developing her trial advocacy skills. While in law school, she also worked as a clerk for the Trafficking Law Center, where she assisted survivors of human trafficking with legal matters such as expungements and provided support in navigating complex legal challenges with dignity and care.


While criminal defense is the cornerstone of her practice, Addie also takes on select cases in family and civil law, where her solution-oriented approach and vigorous advocacy skills continue to deliver meaningful results. Known for building genuine, trusting relationships with clients, she offers clear guidance and steady support throughout the most complex legal challenges. Addie thrives in the courtroom, where she brings dynamic energy, thorough preparation, and unshakable persistence to every hearing.


Outside of her legal practice, Addie enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, waking up early to watch Premier League matches or Formula 1 races on the weekend, and traveling the world to visit loved ones. Whether observing seasoned advocates in international courtrooms or enjoying a quiet moment with a good book at a local library, she continuously seeks growth, insight, and inspiration from her clients and the diverse communities she serves.
